Strengths: build quality is outstanding, impressive cooling power
Weaknesses: did not come with the 775 socket support bracket
Summary: My Intel fan sounded like a full size vaccuum cleaner when at full power and its cooling was a best poor. The Zalman installed fairly easy but the effort was worth it. My CPU temp is now down to 54c at rest and around 69c when its really working hard. The best part is at full power I can barely hear it! Highly recommended.

Strengths: Quiet, adjustable fan speed, keeps CPU cool. Elegant design.
Weaknesses: Bulky and not thermally controlled.
Summary: I have put on many a heat sink in my days and this was by far one of the easiest installations I've done. This heat sink has a lot of copper in it and keeps the CPU nice and cool. The adjustable control is a set and forget option - if you need extra cooling just turn the fan up a little. I have not had to turn it up from its lowest setting. All in all best heat sink I have purchased.

Strengths: Very quiet (cannot hear it over my case fans); Keeps my processor well cooled (Athlon XP 3200+)
Weaknesses: Large and heavy; It took a bit of work to make certain it was securely fastened and in good contact with the processor.
Summary: I'm a gamer, so cool operation and silence is important to me. This cooling fan is quiet, fairly easy to install and cools extremely well. Do a little research and make certain your motherboard can house this fan, as it is larger than most. Once properly installed, it works beautifully.

Strengths: quite operation, great cooling ability.
Weaknesses: difficult install
Summary: I found this fan to be an extremely quite and efficent. I could hardly hear the fan when the cooler was in operation. The only bad thing about this cooler was the installation. The motherboard had to be removed in order for the fan to be installed. I guess this was acceptable because of the massive weight of the fan but I still didn't enjoy removing my motherboard.

Strengths: Large fan diameter and large copper fins for heat dissapation. FanMate2 speed controller lets you slow the fan from normal speed to "silent" mode.
Weaknesses: VERY large in diameter. Slower fan speed may scare off overclockers or gamers.
Summary: This fan is a monster to say the least. I am building an HTPC and I wanted a good, quality CPU fan that I could get low noise from and also keep the CPU within it's operating temperature range. Luckily for me I have a large case in the Lascala 20M and it fits nicely. The size of the fan prevents me from using the 80mm side exhaust fan, but does not interfere with the dual rear 80mm fans. Users of smaller cases may run into clearance issues. Overall I am very happy with the fan and it keeps my CPU in its nominal temperature range.
