Summary: Flex XLC is a 2GB kit (2x1GB) rated at PC2-9200 (DDR2-1150). This is the highest memory speed rating for DDR2 next to Dominator.The modules are rated for 1150MHz, although due to the constraints of memory dividers on the nForce 6-series the EPP rating will clock them at 1142MHz. The chips don?t display SLI ready, but they are when enabled in the Bios. The heatsink is very heavy but oh so pretty. Who doesn?t love Chrome?OCZ introduction of water-cooling ready enthusiast memory seems like a good idea, but a WC myself, one would have to use a step down and y adaptor. In that configuration it will reduce flow rate. Performance is even more compelling on the NVIDIA nForce 680i, where Flex XLC reaches DDR2-1300! The only pitfall was that that the RAM had trouble Stryker Extreme 680i and the E8400 with continual reboots and BIOS resets. The FSB wouldn?t stay unless it was set to 667 and would reach any higher. It may have worked but I was tired of removing the DIMMS, putting in PC6400 DIMMS to reset all settings, then repeating the process. However, with a E6600 I was able to maintain a 1066 FSB. With the EVGA 780i, I was able to attain 1333 with the E8400. ?For the price, you cant go wrong. This ram was once $400+. I picked it up at $180. Its now $90 with rebates.
