Whether you've got an Intel or AMD CPU, our Thermaltake's V1 Model Cl-P0401 is the perfect cooling solution. Built for perfect compatibility with Intel's Core 2, Pentium, and Celeron processors, along with AMD's Athlon 64 FX, X2, 64, and Sempron CPUs. All-copper construction provides the most efficient heat conductivity and dissipation in the business.
bit-tech Review
"The V1 is a newer style in comparison to the more traditional heatsinks from Thermaltake, in that it has a vertical fin array quite like Zalman's old flower coolers. However, the V1 is much larger and has an integrated fan instead of one that clips on the back. So does the redesign of a classic heatsink warrant a revisit to make a successful modern cooler?" - 16th August 2007

Strengths: Powerful
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I upgraded my PC to windows vista and I needed to a cooler for my Intel Core2Duo. After read many reviews I decided to purchase this cooler instead the use the regular cooler come with the CPU. The instrucciones came in a small paper which could be diffcult to read because the graphics are not clear. I preferer to check the website and use the online info. The setup took just 5 minutes; however it depends the kind of CPU, a AMD CPU could be take more time due to adjust in different way on the socket. After, I turned PC on and everything works perfectly. None sound and the temperature is OK. Also, It is beautiful because of my case is transparent so I can see the light in the fan.

Strengths: Very QuietCools Extremely wellCan be directed to the case fan to pull the hot air out of the case.
Weaknesses: LargeMay not like the cool blue LED
Summary: I am not a big fan of LED fans, but that been said, this is an excellent copper cooler, and working with my AMD 5000+ BE CPU, I can hit 3200MHz, and not even hit 60C core temps. This baby really cools, and is very quiet. It is inside my coolermaster HTPC case, which is very large for a HTPC, and it fits very well. The nice thing is the orientation, which allows the fan to be directed at the case fan, for a clean airflow out of the case

Strengths: Large cooking area, cooling would be great if you had a large amount of air flowing over it and it was in a relatively cool room. Good value.
Weaknesses: HUGE! This heatsink is massive, I didn't measure it to see whether it would fit in my case but luckily it did.
Summary: I was quite disappointed to see the performance of this heatsink. I had expected it to drop my CPU temps by more than 3 degrees C over the stock cooler but that may be because my room is not exactly a cool place. I can see it being very good if a large amount of air was flowing over it. The blue LEDs are a nice addition to my blue themed case.

Strengths: Easy to install, Comparably silent, Fancy look, Very good cooling performance.
Weaknesses: The size is a little big as a CPU cooler.
Summary: I replaced my old OCZ Vendetta with it. My system: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, ASUS P5E3 LGA 775 DDR3 Intel X48 motherboard, Antec 900 case. The process of installation was soomth and it fits in the system well. It keeps the Quad Q6600 at 42C Idle and 47C Load when overlocked to 3.0 GHZ, which is about 7C lower than my old cooler. Its performance is fantastic. Overall it is the best CPU Cooler I have ever used. Unique fancy design, very good performance, low noise. Very good choice for overclocking fans. However, it needs plenty of room, you may need a suitable case for it.

Strengths: Look nice, Easy to install, Let my E8400 runs cool in 4 G.
Weaknesses: Still a little bit loud when change the fan speed in high level
Summary: Very good CPU Cooler, look nice, huge, best choice for overclocking! Notice the edge of the cooler is so sharp that you need to pay more attention to avoid get hurt when install it.
