Summary: I used the case and was very delicate with it in the water, making sure the yellow O ring was good. Yet after 30 min in the water the seal allowed some moisture and water to enter inside. I didn't dive down deep and was snorkeling on top of the water. If you care about your camera, don't purchase this. I know the depth rating is for 10ft but this is nothing more than a "protect against the rain" case.

Strengths: Build quality. All camera functions still accessible through buttons on case.
Weaknesses: Slight shadow in corners of pictures.
Summary: I'm very pleased with this camera case. I originally bought it to allow us to take our Canon SD400 up a waterfall in Jamaica in October. However, once I received it I was excited to use it and took it on a canoe trip. The pictures turned-out 99% as good as they normally do. I was surprised that they were still crystal-clear. It also floated when dropped in the river (on purpose - I wanted to see if the camera would float or sink.) This case is rated to 10ft, so it would be great for snorkeling but wouldn't work for scuba-diving. The only negative was a slight shadow that was on the lower right and upper left corners. (VERY slight.) It's possible that re-seating the camera would take care of it. I'll have to wait until next time to find out.

Strengths: I can lose the fear that my camera will be damaged
Weaknesses: More bulky than the camera itself
Summary: I took this camera travelling and it gives me much more peace of mind to know that should I be in a very sandy or wet area I don't have to worry that my camera will be damaged while on the road.

Strengths: All the controls on the camera are accessible. It comes with silcone grease for the o-ring seal. The camera is a perfect fit. It floats.
Weaknesses: It it only rated down to 10ft.
Summary: I took it out paddling yesterday and got some great shots. So far it is meeting my expectations, but it would be good if you could take it deeper...just in case. It easy to get the glass in front of the lens smudged, so bring something along to wipe it with.

Rating: 10
Time with product: 2 Months
Strengths: Simple, Easy to use
Weaknesses: Bulky
Summary: I got this case because I was going to Lake Havasu and didn't want to risk having my camera fall in the water. I kept my camera in this case all day and you can't tell that from the photos I took (regarding the quality). Believe me, the photos came out great!!!! :) Anyway, I did jump in the water with the camera around my neck and no water leaked in so I have no complaints. It just doubles the size of your camera so I can't stick it in a pocket like I usually do.
