Strengths: small size, good quality, thumbnail view, auto seek

Weaknesses: expensive tapes, technology never caught on and now tapes are rare.

Summary: a must-have if you still use this microMV that never caught on. tapes are still very expensive and hard to find nowadays but still produces good quality for those who use it. you may be better off with a miniDV camcorder.

Strengths: includes thumbnail previews for each record session recorded

Weaknesses: obsolete- it never took off and replaced miniDV; they're getting harder to find so stock up while it's cheap!!

Summary: As usual, these tapes can be used multiple times without quality deterioration, thumbnails are a plus as it allows you to seek the session desired and will automatically play selected view. don't go cheap on tapes- they're the heart to precious memories

Strengths: it has prety small size.

Weaknesses: this etch is dead. Very had to find in retails stores.

Summary: I have purchased a sony camera that used micro - mv cassettes. Unfortunelty, it ws a bad timing to buy the camera as the micro MV cassettes were a middle technology. Sony has stopped producig camers with this tech. It is hard to find tehse cassettes as they are not commonly used. So it is a hadache. I have already bought a newcamra that can urn CD itself.

Summary: I got a sony micromv camcorder four years ago as a present and have been using this cassette. If it were up to me I would have gone with miniDV. The only thing I like about the micromv cassette is its size. The cassette is about 3-4 times more expensive than miniDV and it's also harder to find. I've only been able to order it online. Also, the quality is not as good as the miniDV. Until I replace my camcorder, I will have to keep buying these tapes.

Summary: Sony's MGR60 Micro-MV Cassette is a great media form, it is small and easy to store and reliable. If you have a Digital VCR that uses Micro-MV tapes these are good quality at a good price too. the only problem I have found is that they are hard to find locally in stores.
