bit-tech Review
"The Xbox 360 Elite may not address the noise pollution issue that has plagued Microsoft's console since launch, but it does bring some key new features to the platform. HDMI support is a welcome addition, while the increased hard disk capacity will definitely be needed when the full Video Marketplace launches in Europe.
The lack of an integrated HD DVD drive could well be a missed opportunity though, especially considering that there are no plans for a black external HD DVD drive to match the Elite. That said, the sub £300 price point makes the Elite a very attractive prospect for anyone looking to move up to high definition gaming, while the very strong catalogue of titles keeps Microsoft well ahead of Sony in the next gen console race." - 24th August 2007

Rating: Time with product: 10 Days Strengths: Large 120 GB Hard drive, HDMI output, fast processor and graphic card Weaknesses: No wireless modem, No HD-DVD drive, Expensive console Summary: The Xbox 360 Elite finally pushed me over the edge. I have been debating between Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 since last year. The decision was hard because PS3 has the built-in Blue-ray player and free on-line gaming (with built-in wireless modem).I finally settle for Xbox 360 Elite. This Elite version console came with large Hard drive and the HDMI connection is great for me because I can just connected to my 50" Panasonic plasma TV. The picture quality is absolutely stunning. I think this is the best deal going in gaming. |
