Strengths: Does heat up quickly and leaves the carpet smelling fresh. Also used it on the kitchen floor and it was very effective.

Weaknesses: The pads aren't the same as in the instruction manual, ie with a drawstring, so the carpet glider wouldn't fit and snapped. I was able to use it without the glider on the carpet though.

Summary: Bought it mainly for steam cleaning my beige carpet as I have a dog and a kitten! There is supposed to be an indicator light to tell you when it's ready, but there isn't! We also have a Vax, but this is much better if like me you just want something lightweight for regular use. The pads being machine washable is very handy as well, as they get amazingly dirty!
