Comment: I placed an order of a Toshiba laptop U405-S2856 on August 12th, and on 19th, I received an email saying that they did not have what I ordered in stock and thus there is no way they cannot deliver by the estimated shipping date. Horrible experience and horrible attitude. They should have let me know much earlier. This is my first serious disappointment with Amazon (I had minor problems before but I game them a slack, based on the average decent record).

Comment: Amazon.com said it had the Screwpull wine cork puller in stock. When I bought it, they admitted that it would not deliver for 2-6 MONTHS. Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware).

Comment: When I saw the "Free Shipping" I click it, and I thought it must be true coz this company is so big that nobody will have any doubt. I bought the Escort 9500i radar detector, and it says I could aslo purchase a window mount. It seems like a package for me, but it wasnt. Amazon charged me seperately for the radar and window mount. A shipping fee $10 for the windown mount for the 2 days express. and another $7 for the radar. This is totally bs, coz it says "FREE SHIPPING" wth??? such a rip off.

Comment: I am very disappointed. I searched for the best price for the item I was looking for and found that Amazon.com had the best promising free shipping. When I received confirmation of my order there was a charge of 4.50 for shipping. I think this is a gross misrepresentation!

Comment: Ive made several purchases from Amazon. Most have been with their market sellers or whatever theyre called that indicates they are not a direct part of Amazon. While shipping/tracking and promises have been kept. Who the heck packages this stuff for shipping? In every case the packaging has been demolished with the contents surviving. Not so on this last order a contractor grade tripod with elevating platform. This time the bottom of the box was nothing but tape. Tbottom of the box wasnt there when they shipped it. Someone simply kept wrapping clear shipping tape around it until there was this little shipping tape window on the bottom of the box. It was shipped in the manufactures box which is clearly designed to be placed in a sturdier box with several others. This time the contents did not survive. A broken crank for the elevation platform and missing rubber protectors for the feet. For me the risk is not worth the gain. There or other internet seller that do a much better job a2z

Comment: Excellent service and products. I ordered a DVD on a Sunday to be shipped by USPS and even with Monday being a holiday I still recieved it on Tuesday. You cant beat that.
