Comment: This is my last order with Home Depot.com. After a week, recieved an email stating my order has been canceled, no explanation, just an apology for the inconvenience. Last month I had the same exact thing happen. A third item became an "unexpected" backorder, and after 3 weeks, I had to cancel the order as the status never changed, and probably would never change, just eventually get canceled by Home Depot.com. Waste of time.

Comment: I have no confidence that this merchant will ship new/unused items and will never order online from them again.I ordered a Lasko tower fan online and received what is obviously returned merchandise, which they taped up and sent to me. The fan was broken, the assembly hardware and batteries were missing and the instructions looked as though they had been read a few times.

Comment: I have never had such poor service in my entire life. I ordered two Brook Oval Mirrors. One mirror was okay, the other was cracked down the middle. I called the company and was told to return it, which I did. I ordered another mirror to hang over my second sink in my bathroom. The 2nd order arrived BROKEN...AGAIN. I was told to send it back...which I did, and in the meantime, I ordered a 3rd mirror which arrived yesterday...BROKEN!!!!! I called and tried to get help. The customer service rep told me she was sorry it was back-ordered but she would give me a 20% discount on the 4th mirror, which had been "okayed" by her supervisor. I then asked to speak to her supervisor who essentially said she has no control over the warehouse and cant guarantee the merchandise. She also said shed only give a 10% discount. Many LIES. Why on earth would I ever buy from a company who cant check the merchandise for damage before they send it? AND I still not received any credit back on my card.

Comment: Will never purchase online or by phone from this merchant again. Tried to place an online order on 4/14, site was so slow (broadband connection) that I could not navigate. Placed the order by calling homedepot.coms help #. They took my order by phone, promised 2-day express shipping for $147. I paid extra for the Express shipping because I NEEDED the tool for a job I had to start on 4/21. When the order did not arrive on 4/17, I phoned. Was informed they could not deliver this item by 2-day Express because it was too heavy. (I ended up having to rent the tool to do the job for $157.00). HDs supervisor promised to give a full $147 credit for the shipping. When the credit did not show up three business days later, I phoned again. Was treated very rudely. They told me to check for the credit again on Friday. It is now the following Monday, and the credit has still not been applied.

Comment: Not only was the customer service lady very nice and polite, but my LG washer was delivered a day earlier than expected. I have, for the most part, had good experiences with the physical store and was glad to find that the homedepot.com was easy to do business with and I would highly recommend both.

Comment: Will never use Home Depot for another order. I could have drove to their warehouse and back 20 times. All I ordered was a fan that was in stock. Made a big mistake that wont happen again. Only feedback I got was that it had been shipped.

Comment: Buyer Beware!!! Home Depot sent my order not once but TWICE. They also charged my card twice. I tried to call their customer service but got no help, only promises they would send a return kit. Of course the store cannot or will not help you with on line orders. I escalated to managers who told me they were sending return kits and would follow up with me only they never called back and they could never provide me with a number to call them directly. I finally had to file a BBB complaint (they are a member of the BBB). They told the BBB they had fixed the problem, though they never did. It took me filing an additional BBB complaint and filing a complaint with my credit card company to get the matter resolved. In all, MONTHS worth of run arounds for a simple item. Not worth it, go elsewhere!!!!

Comment: I ordered some air filters and they never arrived. UPS said they got the billing info but never received them. HomeDepot.com supervisor admitted the error on their part and offered to issue an RMA # to "return" the item (which is ridiculous b/c I never even got it). Worst part...it would take 4 weeks to issue the refund!!! Any other company would offer to cancel the order and issue a refund immediately. I will NEVER do business with them again.

Comment: Doing a simple return has been a total nightmare. I returned the merchandise a good six weeks ago and have yet to receive my refund credit. Apparently, the return instructions that came in my box were inaccurate. Customer Service is now telling me that I was supposed to call before sending back the merchandise to get a return number (which is certainly not a customary process for catalog/internet returns). I am a technical writer and write instructions for a living; I guarantee I followed the instructions in my box and they didn?t say anything about calling before sending back merchandise. Because I did not call first, my returned merchandise is lost in their warehouse. Customer Service is very unhelpful and blames me for not calling first. I have been blatantly lied to a few times. A finally spoke to a manager once and he was very ignorant and unhelpful. As noted by others, you can not return merchandise ordered online to a store, which is also a backwards business practice.
