Summary: For those planning on using any range hood in the Broan Allure series in its non-ducted capacity, the use of these filters are required to filter out all the grease and smoke created from cooking that would otherwise be vented out of your kitchen if using the range hood when ducted. I would recommend these filters as they do a fine job of clearing the kitchen of grease, smoke and other cooking odors. I've noticed a big difference in the smell, or lack thereof, in my kitchen after installing the range hood and filters.
