Strengths: The water and ice from this filter are excellent. My first filter lasted 7 months.

Summary: Easy to install in Whirlpool refrigerator. Very convenient to have fresh, cold, filtered water and ice available anytime. The fast fill feature is very nice to have. The filter installed in refrigerator lasted 7 months. Happy with no chlorine odor and taste of the water.

Weaknesses: Little hard to remove the old filter and insert the new one. Also it took many tries to turn the light to green after installation.

Summary: I purchased this filter because it was highly recommended and i bought it at a Lowes store because that's where i bought the fridge. The filter was not on sale but i checked online for a rebate and there was one.
