The bread and bagel toast perfectly. The defrost setting is great for waffles and I find easier than using the oven. I love the many settings on the side so your toast or bagel is browned to your liking.

The exterior plastic is generally cool to the touch. The browning control is an easy-to-grip knob with an illuminated LED readout. The slots are 1.5" wide and it has an extra-lift carriage lever to help you remove items. This toaster seems pretty substantial, and the controls operate smoothly. The glossy exterior is easy to clean.
