Weaknesses: Takes long time to charge. Need special cover to fit in slim PSP.

Summary: I bought this battery for my original fat PSP (not the new slim PSP). It lasts about 4 hours for gaming (varies between games), whereas my old 1800mAh battery barely last 2 hours nowadays. This battery is the same size as the fat PSP's stock 1800mAh battery, which is thicker than the slim PSP's battery. Sony has since re-released this 2200mAh battery in a new packaging, aimed toward the slim PSP users. Mine came in one of those hard-to-open clear plastic packaging, but I believe newer ones come in a paper packaging with additional plastic covers (black and sliver) for slim PSP's battery bay. For those people with limited edition slim PSP (red God of War version, Darth Vader version, etc), unfortunately you won't be able to use your original artwork-laden battery covers with this battery. The only gripe I have with this battery is that it takes too long to do a full charge - about 2 hours when charged via PSP. Overall, it's a pretty good buy.

Summary: My original battery still holds it charge pretty well. Hopefully this battery will hold it's charge during its lifetime in a similar fashion. I've had this battery for about 1 day and I was able to see that I could play about 5 hours versus 4 hours on my old battery. I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase, however, buyers need to be wary if they buy online that they're not getting a counterfeit battery. I took a gamble and bought mine on Amazon marketplace for ~$24, even though it sells for about $35-$40 retail. There are numerous threads on the internet how to identify fake PSP batteries.Since I fly a lot, this battery will be perfect for my long-haul flights!

Summary: Sony PSP 2200mAh battery pack is a Sony genuine product for the Playstation Portable system that features 20% more capacity than the stock battery. On average it holds about 5 1/2 hours of charge and is great when you are in a long trip. This battery fits both the original PSP-1000 and the slim PSP-2000 series. However, a special cover is required on PSP-2000 series as this battery is slightly fatter an is included in the newer package. One more thing. If you are planning to build a Pandora battery, forget this 2200mAh battery as it's not compatible. You will need a stock 1800mAh battery.
