Join Mega Man X and Zero as they relive all six of their first Mega Man X adventures. Available for the first time in one incredible compilation, this disk also features the US debut of Mega Man Battle & Chase, the only Mega Man racing game ever created. Seven great games in one package.

Rating: Time with product: 7 Strengths: All 6 games in one disc + a bonus game. Weaknesses: Some remixes of the music are bit bad Summary: This is one of the best Megaman X collection ever made for the PS2. It comes with the complete X series from SNES to Playstation 1. The disc has 6 X-series games and a extra bonus Megaman Battle and Chase. The game compiles X1-X2 from Snes; X3 from the japanese Remake for the PS1 which has anime cutscenes; X4-X6 are from Playstation releases. The game has a lot of platforming gameplay involved and you can also unlock special contents by finishing each game from the series. I recommend this game to all megaman fans and platformer gamers. They will enjoy playing this game over and over. |

Rating: Time with product: 45 Days Strengths: +bonus unlockable game+new voice overs done in game+replay value depends on boss Weaknesses: -X5 and X6 can be difficult for those who've never played a megaman game-not many to unlock once you finish the game Summary: Megaman has came out early since the NES days. If you've played a megaman game before you probably are a fan or not. Ranging from different bosses X gets bonus weapons for each boss he defeats and carries onto the next stage. Each boss also has a weakness to them of course. While the X sereies lets you play as Zero which even adds more replayability. The X series may be a little bit harder for those who've never played it before. Overall this is a nicely done package for Megaman fans out there. |

Rating: Time with product: 17 Months Strengths: Collection of Mega Man X 1 to 6. Weaknesses: No good extra materials. Ported the games almost directly without correcting errors. Could have give option of choosing Japanese voice over for Mega Man X4. Summary: This is a very straight forward review. The title of the game says all, Mega Man X Collection. This is the collection of Mega Man X games that are pre-Playstation 2, which consist of Mega Man X1, 2 from SNES and Mega Man X3, 4, 5, 6 from Playstation 1. The collection mimics the Playstation 1 memory card to allow the save game functions of Megaman X4, 5, and 6 to save on the Playstation 2 memory card. Mega Man X1, 2, 3 are allowed to save game on memory card as well, instead of inputting the password. The game also included a Japanese Megaman racing game as extra feature. The collection itself is good, however, the extra features/materials it offers is not very good. The included racing game is not bad, but Capcom failed to include extra features such as remastered music, possibly animated scenes for Megaman X games from SNES, and voiced dialogs in both Japanese and English. Instead, Capcom ported the game almost directly without correct some grammatical errors. Capcom would not even tried to give option of choosing Japanese voice over for the animated scene in Megaman X4. Overall, this game is not bad, could have been better if Capcom would have delayed the launch and put some extra features in, rumor has it that they had planned and worked on the extra features but scraped them due to Maverick Hunter series for PSP. This game is recommended for the Mega Man fans. For those have not played Mega Man X games, give it a try. |
