Strengths: Faststableworks great
Weaknesses: not as fast as the latest chips
Summary: At this point, this CPU can be had for a very reasonable price, giving you 90% of the speed of the latest very expensive dual core chips. It's very reliable, and runs fairly cool. I don't know about the heat sink/fan it comes with, since I'm using the Thermaltake V1 for optimal cooling with least noise.

Strengths: Dual Core 11X Multiplier. Price finally coming down makes entry to the FX AM2 processors not as difficult to handle financially. Much faster than my old single-core pentium 4 3.4 ghz processor.
Weaknesses: Nothing major you get what you expect from it. Performance is great, heatsink is a bit of a pain to put on.
Summary: Dual Core 11X Multiplier. Price finally coming down makes entry to the FX AM2 processors not as difficult to handle financially. Much faster than my old single-core pentium 4 3.4 ghz processor. I cannot complain about anything in particular as I said early kind of difficult to clip on the heatsink but overall there is no reason to be upset with this unit, considering how quickly it has dropped in price I see no reason why anyone would not jump on getting one of these before they are sold out. I was able to overclock the unit significantly on my Asus board. This is top-notch.!

Strengths: Socket AM2, DDR2 Support, Cooling, Lower Price!
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: This new AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 Processor is top notch. Since AMD has been falling behind Intel in new technology the prices have dropped severely. I purchased a 3800+ x2 939 processor not too long ago and this processor now costs less than I paid for that one! Buy it now while its cheap!

Strengths: Powerfull 64bit Processor with Dual Core for Added Performance.
Weaknesses: Nothing that I can think of right now.
Summary: I purchased this process and matched it up with an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard with 4 gig DDR2 800 Mhz (PC2-6400) memory, ATI X1950 Pro 256mb Video card and a Seagate 500gig SATA harddrive. This thing ROCKS!!! I replaced my AMD 3200+ with this and I should be set for a couple more years now. I run XP Pro, Linux (64 bit) and Vista Ultimate (64 bit) edition on this system. I can run serveral resource intensive applications with no hesitations at all. I've always purchased AMD products because of their cost/performance ratio compared with Intel.
