Summary: CALL OF DUTY 3 is a first person WW2 shooter for the XBOX. This game takes place in 1944 during the Normandy Breakout campaign, where the Allies were attempting to force the invading German forces out of France. U get to experience and fight in 4 different armies of the United States, Britain, Poland , and Canada, alongside CPU controlled squad mates, which adds to the realistic war time surroundings. The action is top notch and frenetic and u will often experience battlefield chaos and carnage as bullets whizz by u and grenades explode around u. You can also pick up grenades thrown by the Nazis or even cook your own, so that they blow up instantly. U will be performing many different tasks, such as planting explosives, rescuing hostages, defending a certain area. Other times , you will be manning a mounted machine gun and mowing down the enemy or u can even drive a tank and duke it out against the enemy armor forces. I really recommend getting this game; it is truly one of the best FPS for the XBOX.

Summary: Having heard of the great reviews for this game, I decided to "join up" in this WWII FPS. What you will notice when playing this game is that it feels like you're in the middle of a war. In the opening level, your introduced to the chaos of machine gun fire coming from different directions, and the need to find cover quickly. Though you fight alongside a squad, you don't issue out any commands (and neither do I want to) as the AI of your allies are pretty competent to take out enemies. The game however plays as a FPS and your squad is more of a bonus than a focus in this game. There will be times when YOU need to take the initiative and take the point.The controls in the game are excellent. The R Trigger fires your weapon as in any other FPS. The button to throw your grenade is a little awkward-you have to press the d-pad which is very strange to say the least. The L trigger should be utilized for that function. The graphics are very good for the environments, weapons, etc. but the characters faces look a little weird. The game makes you feel like you are in a warzone from tattered homes to half burned down buildings. Each weapon looks different and realistic. The sound in the game is superb. Each gun has a different sound to it and the gunfire, explosions, and voice overs are very realistic.The campaign mode probably should take around 10-15 hours on normal mode, slightly longer on hard. The only "fault" I see with this game is that it is linear--you cannot explore as the game cuts you off. It would also be nice to see some more hours added to the gameplay.If you enjoy war shooters, and especially FPS, then pick up Call of Duty and get ready to experience a great WWII shooter.9/10
