Rating: Time with product: 2 Months Strengths: Steering wheel included, 80+ licensed cars, budget price, 10 road courses, 36 events, multiplayer support Weaknesses: Loose controls, lackluster graphics/audio, no force feedback, generic tracks, no damage modeling, limited tuning options Summary: As a Wii launch title, GT Pro Series did a decent job of providing a unique racing experience using the Wii remote and the included steering wheel peripheral. Unfortunately, the high price and generic tracks gave it a poor return on value for the money. At a more reasonable $10-$20 today, GT Pro Series can provide a fun introduction to racing on the Wii. Like many other racing games, GT Pro Series uses the Wii's motion sensing controller to direct your vehicle on-screen. GT Pro Series also includes a plastic wheel (to hold your remote like Mario Kart) that further draws you in. While the wheel isn't necessary here (and can be used for other games), it's a nice giveaway. GT Pro Series does have a few issues including generic tracks, loose controls and an unimpressive audio/visual presentation. Serious racing fans will quickly become bored, but beginning players may have fun for a bit longer. The game itself isn't great, but neither is the price. If you get what you pay for, $10-$20 may not be much too high a price to pay. |

Rating: Time with product: 3 Strengths: This game is fun to play Weaknesses: NONE Summary: I find the Wii GT Pro series is fun drive. But this game is definitely lacks graphics capability. And the text is so small that you can barely read. Wii Controls are good enough. And the best part is the wheel attachment makes driving with the Wiimote easier and feel more like driving. |

Rating: Time with product: 1 Strengths: Steering wheel, Price, options Weaknesses: Graphics, car control abality Summary: The game is lacking in the graphics arena. They remind me of Nintendo 64 racing games... They have added some great (if you want them) features. Like the ability to later tune your cars options. Choice of racing or drifting tires. Some unlockable cars. The steering wheel is great, it is a nice heavy duty plastic one. There are day and night driving options. I'd say it is not a bad game for the price, as it did come with a steering wheel. But dont buy it if you expect it to be a great racing game. I don't think it is even worth playing with others. Stick to Excite Truck! |

Rating: Time with product: 3 Months Strengths: Price, Comes with steering wheel Weaknesses: Graphics, cars are hard to control Summary: For those of you old enough to remember - think Pole Position. Of course there are a lot more options and variations. You can drive anything from a Subaru Impreza to a Honda Odyssey (plus more that I have yet to unlock). The cars are easier to control if you use the navigation pad - but that takes away from the Wii experience. While this game may not be for the hardcore gamer, it is still quite fun for wider audience that the Wii has attracted. Available for about $20 at many places, it is an excellent value considering that you also get the steering wheel. This is definitely a game to consider if you are casual gamer who is looking to build up a game library without breaking the bank. |

Rating: Time with product: 8 Days Strengths: Nice Steering wheel Weaknesses: Overall game is weak (including graphics) Summary: GT Pro Series with Wheel (for the Nintendo Wii) - Well, I have to admit, the main reason for me purchasing this game was because it included the steering wheel and I planned on getting a few other Wii car and/or truck type driving games so I figured that it would come in handy. That being said, I guess I shouldn't complain - since it did include the steering wheel. But the game itself leaves a lot to be desired when compared to other driving/car games out there for the Wii. However I only expected a folded up nerf type steering wheel that I would have to work out the kinks in it before using, BUT the steering wheel that came with the game is actually very nice - Its hard plastic and comes in 3 pieces that you have to snap together, I was impressed with the steering wheel - the best part of what was included in the box! |
