Strengths: None

Weaknesses: Horrible frame rate, bad graphics, gameplay not fun

Summary: This is easily the worst of the Playstation 3 launch titles and one you should avoid. In theory, giant robot battling games ought to be a core staple of video gaming. But in practice, they never quite seem to hit the mark, and this is one of the worst attempts so far. The game barely looks next gen, and yet it has a horrible framerate that is nearly gamebreaking. The controls don't work very well making it hard to lock on to enemies (yet the computer controlled characters have no such problem). To top it all off, the missions are not very diverse and there is no online play. There are so many better games available for the Playstation 3 that this one needs to be at the bottom of any list.

Time with product:

Strengths: Great graphics. Fairly good selection of mobile suits to use.

Weaknesses: Control responsiveness is quite slow.

Summary: Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire is one of the first games available for Playstation 3. The game play resembles the Playstation 2's Zeonic Front, in which the player still gets to hack and slash the enemies, but slightly more strategic planning is needed to win the game. The game have fairly good graphics for a game that are among the first few available for PS3, though some parts might seemed to be dated. The selection of mobile suits are fairly good for either sides, but more is preferred. The planning part of the game is not bad, but the responsiveness of controlling the mobile suits is quite slow. When a button is pressed to get the mobile suits to attack or defend, sometimes the mobile suits cannot respond fast enough to save their own lives. This sort of problem has happened before in previous Gundam games for PS2 and some other consoles, but after doing a number of games, Bandai/Namco still cannot seemed to make the mobile suits more responsive to the player controls. Overall, Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire is a fairly good game for those that enjoy the blended Action/Strategic game. For those that enjoyed Zeonic Front and have a PS3, this is a must play.

Time with product: 5

Strengths: Its Gundam

Weaknesses: Bad controls, dated graphics, bad camera angles

Summary: Even as a fan of the Gundam series I can't recommend this game. It is just frustrating to play. The controls are not very responsive, and leads to an unenjoyable experience. Also some moves work a little too well and you can just keep doing them over and over to win.The graphics look more like a PS2 game rather than a PS3 game. It feels very rushed. Along with the bad graphics we get bad camera angles that frustrated me when I tried to engage in combat.Overall not a recommended tile, save your money for a better robot fighting game to come along.

Strengths: Got it for $17. Robots. Destruction. Good graphics and sound

Weaknesses: not really worth the $17

Summary: I just couldnt get into this game. Gameplay and controls awkward.I jumped at this when I found out Circuit City has it on a secret sale for $16.99 a couple of months ago. Well, with any gamble, you dont always win. Luckily, the other game I picked up for $16.99 was "Dark Kingdom". I quickly forgot about this game. Sorry.

Time with product: 1 Month

Strengths: none

Weaknesses: Gaming mode is repetitive, poor graphics.

Summary: This game is not very fun. It's a third person shooting action game. It tries to simulate the buckiness of the real robots, thus sacrifice the speed in combats. During combats, you can lock on targets, then shoot enemies using guns, but the most effective way is to use melee. After combats, you get to repair and buy new equipments in the hangers, then receiving some new missions. The interface in the hangers is quite bad. The missions are mostly destory the enemies. All I could say is that don't buy this game, not even worse renting.
