Summary: The alarm went off, but quit when I pushed the reset button. Since there is no readout I didn?t know if the alarm had malfunctioned or there really was CO present. This happened again (at 3 AM). As soon as the monitor is reset the alarm quits. I recommend investing in an alarm with a digital readout so you know the amount of CO present.The peace of mind is worth the additional cost. If there is one monitor in the house with a digital read out this might be adequate as a back up
