Strengths: Great source of heat, compact, and simple. Price is inexpensive.
Weaknesses: Thermostat settings don't seem seem to properly work.
Summary: This heater is very compact but is good at producing heat in the right area. It sells for about $20 on average and is not too fancy looking, but does its job well. It has two settings: low and high. The low produces less heat but is still effective. It can be kept on continous heat or you can use the 5 thermostat options. The major problem I see with this heater is that when you use any thermostat setting below 75 degrees, the heat turns on for 1 minute and turns off for more than half an hour and continues like this. I find this not quite effective. But for the continuous heat option, its quite good for the price.

Strengths: low price, produces very good amount of heat quickly, easy to use, cool to touch, tip over and overheat protection, lightweight.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I did some research on heaters before choosing this one. As others have written, how could something so cheap work so well. Well it does! I used to use an oil filled heater but it took forever for it to heat a room. This holmes heater puts out heat right away and puts the heat right where you need it. The fan is quiet but strong. You can set the thermostat in 5 degree increments though I wonder about how accurate it is. you can use a high or low setting. And i got mine for only 17.95. It worked so well in the tv room, that I bought one for the bedroom as well. Now I can keep the whole house thermostat down low and just use the heater in the room i'm in. No worries here. Now lets see how long it lasts but at this price, easy to replace.
