Strengths: It works, easy to use
Weaknesses: None found
Summary: These filters work with my PUR water filter pitcher. This is my first pitcher so I don't really have anything to compare with. Except with some bad reviews on more expensive Brita.Water seems to taste better (may that is perception because our tap water is not too bad)But buildup on the inside of the kettle seems to be less then before ( we bought new kettle almost at the same time as filters).

Strengths: works as advertised, easy to install
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I'm an avid user of PUR filters. I try to purchase the 3 packs when they're on sale - so far they've never let me down. Water tastes better with the filter. Installation is easy; just twist the old one off, dunk the new one for 10 minutes then twist it on and fill 'er up. Short and sweet; minus the bad stuff.

Strengths: better tasting water, better filter performance, good price if you know where to buy
Weaknesses: lacks replacement indicator of the CRF-950L
Summary: As far as I can tell, PUR tastes better than Brita. We started with the faucet mount filter, when that leaked after a year, switched to a Brita pitcher. Water filtered in Brita did not taste as good as PUR, simply put. I decided to research and found literature putting PUR as a better filter overall. I switched to the PUR DS-1800Z, bought these filters from Amazon and for the last 2 years have been much happier.I never was able to buy the CRF-950L (one with the replacement indicator knob) that other reviewers have been talking about. Should Amazon decided to bring that back, it would be the best bang for the buck. Imagine changing the filter only when you really need to, instead of relying on monthly reminder stickers.

Time with product: 6 Months
Strengths: Great Tasting, Good Promotional Pricing, Long Usage
Weaknesses: Gone Are The Days of the Good Old Orange Replacement Indicator
Summary: Buying these normal price would be a bit on the steep side. However, occasionally Amazon do have good promotional sale on these and they are indeed quite affordable. The water tasted much better using these filters than your normal tab water. As a previous user had mentioned, gone are the good old days of the orange replacement indicator. Now it's just a cheapie sticker that tell you you'll need to replace it in two months. I usually hold it longer (4 months max) and the water still tastes fine. Overal, if purchased through promotional sale, then it's very much worth the money.

Strengths: easy, it works
Weaknesses: low-tech replacement indicator
Summary: These filters make my PUR water filter pitcher happy. Three 2-stage filters are contained in the relatively small box. Each filter is individually wrapped for freshness (I guess). Also included are 3 stickers to be stuck to the side of your water pitcher. Each sticker includes a circular monthly calendar and a small green-to-red sticker. This smaller sticker is the low-tech replacement indicator. Place it on the larger sticker over a few months, starting with the current month. When the right-most month arrives - time to change the filter! ...or just change it when you can "taste" the difference, if possible.I've used these filters for months now and won't go back to normal tap water. Here outside Philly our water is pretty bad - these filters do the trick.
