Rating: Time with product: 30 Days Strengths: Functions exactly as its expesive big brother HY-048BP Weaknesses: Nothing yet....slightly unstable if you use the extender. Summary: I really like this tower fan. After researching extensively, I decided to purchase the HY047B from kaz.com. They are the official distributors for Honeywell products (including many other major band name electronics) in North America. The only difference between this model and the HY048BP, is the steel trim on the front grid and the LCD disply which is slightly larger on the 48. If you can ignore these minor aesthetic differences, the funtionality of the 2 products are identical and the Hy047B costs almost $20 less. The noise level is acceptable albeit not the quitest, comparable to a low hum, and if delivers a breeze to the farthest corners of the 25 foot room it sits in. |

Rating: Time with product: 1 Strengths: remote control, temp set and auto turn off, filter removable for wash Weaknesses: height can either be 32" or 40" Summary: It's my first time to spend more than 15 dollars for a fan. I usually just get the least expensive one. However, this money I spent is totally worth it. This one is not like the others which just circulate hot air. The air comes from this fan is cool!!!! Besides, I can set the temp and the time so I don't need to wake up in the middle of the night to turn it off. Even if I want to turn it off, I can use the remote control. Overall, I am very satisfied with this fan. oh one thing is the fan makes a noise but to me it is at the level of tolerable. |

Rating: Time with product: 1 Strengths: Keeps my room cool and the built in Ionizer works GREAT Weaknesses: None Summary: From my experience of using several tower fans, this Honeywell product is excellent. It pushes a lot of air quietly and oscillates in a wider angle compared to the tower fan from Lasko. Its look is decent but if you prefer a fancier fan, I would recommend Lasko 42" Wind Curve though it doesn't circulate as much air. (I have recently bought this Lasko fan and returned it because it is not powerful enough; its third level of wind speed is only equivalent to the first level of this Honeywell fan.) In addition, I like that this fan comes with a filter that can be easily washed and reinstalled. I would consider this a four-season fan because its three levels of wind speed fits my needs all year round unlike the Lasko 42" Wind curve, which I would consider it as a winter fan, and Nexus Tropical Breeze, which I would call it a summer fan because it pushes unbelievable amount of air to great distances. I plan to buy another Honeywell 3-Speed Digital Tower Fan soon. |
