Rating: Time with product: 3 Months Strengths: Inexpensive, and works with upgraded batteries and virtual walls Weaknesses: Does not have a spot cleaning function Summary: Our previous Roomba Pink "bit the dust" after several years of service. We already had the better battery pack and virtual walls. The Roomba Red is compatible with those and inexpensive, so we got it.It does a good job of doing a light cleaning once a week for us.The battery it comes with is sufficient, and if you don't want to buy virtual wall, you can put a 2x4 board across the areas you don't want the robot to go.This is a good choice for those on a budget, those who want to get the extra accessories later, or those not technically inclined (as you don't have to deal with the extra add-on gadgets). My wife prefers Roombas with the intense cleaning feature that does a spot cleaning, but this model is highly recommended. |

Rating: Time with product: 14 Days Strengths: Good cleaning, fully automatic, clean undereath furniture Weaknesses: Remove obstacles to prevent stuck Summary: This is my first little robot friend and it does work. Roomba 4000 is the lowest model and it does not come with a lot of function, but it can perform the cleaning as expected. The only drawback is that you need to supervise it. Sometimes it is trapped and you need to move it by hand. I am quite satisfied in terms of price and value. |
