It replaced a 20 year old Amana dryer. We have been using it for 3 weeks and it has been great. It has a large capacity, is easy to use and is nice and quiet. LG gets good reviews from Consumer Report so we are giving them a try. I hope they last as long as our Amana did. So far we are pleased. We also like that the unit has a drying sensor which can automatically determine when the clothes are dry. I also hope it is more efficient than our old unit so we should save energy as well as some $.
