Summary: There is not much to say that hasn't been said already. When your Roomba's cleaning cycle is down to a single lap around the living room? it is time to replace the battery. I purchased this replacement battery, charged it for the 16 hour requested initial charge and my Roomba was full of life again! My Roomba is used every day and the original battery lasted over a year. Ni-Cad batteries will develop a "memory" if you don't run the battery fully down once in a while or if you don't let the battery fully recharge. The replacement batteries are on the expensive side for a plastic box containing 12 Ni-Cad cells. An exchange program for the old battery would be a great way to save money and the environment. If it wasn't for the price I would give this battery five stars.

Strengths: Should have looked on the internet sooner to realize it was time to get a new battery for the Roomba I can't live without. With this new battery, the Roomba seems brand new again.

Weaknesses: none

Summary: I've owned the Roomba vacuum for a few years so it doesn't seem unreasonable to replace the battery. Purchased it at Amazon for a reasonable price. Worth the money to have this cleaner work well again.

Summary: Turn-a-round time for unit was very good. 3-4 days for delivery. Battery requires charging for 16 hours before first use. Full use before recharge 2 hours. This is a great backup for the Discovery.

Summary: HAVE BEEN PLEASED WITH THE ATTRIBUTES OF THIS BATTERY. SHORTER CHARGE TIME AND LONGER CLEANING TIME HAVE MADE THIS AN EASY CHOICE IN CHOOSING THIS BATTERY OVER THE OTHER TYPE.

Weaknesses: deplete and die in a short timeframe

Summary: I thought the investment in the roomba was pricey enough, but the batteries are quickly becoming the biggest investment. There are "hacker" websites that show that the insides of these batteries is really just a string of rechargeable C batteries. These are truly a rip-off, priced at 40-50 bucks a pop.
