Summary: This is the latest in the Madden series that is so popular and established. its for PS3 and the graphics are pretty good. the gameplay is also better than some previous versions and is overall a must-buy for football fans.

Weaknesses: Seems to have too many fumbles and interceptions

Summary: Madden has been the King of the Sports Video games from EA Sports for years and the 2008 version is a must purchase. The Graphics are amazing. Playing this on an HD TV is almost like being on the field. The Players, Stadiums and even the crowds look more realistic then ever. I Like the fact that EA now has the right to license the ESPN brand to the game, but they could probably find a way to utilize it a little better. The inclusion of the new "weapons" add-on is an outstanding addition and really makes the truly great players of the league standout. The gameplay is excellent, and although the controls can be complex they are easy to pick up with some practice.The biggest negative in game playing has been the amount of fumbles and interceptions. I have played games where there have been more than 10 turnovers per team.Madden remains my favorite game and I look foward to its release every year.

Weaknesses: 30 fps, no significant improvements

Summary: No significant improvements from previous years, actually may have taken a step back. Pretty disappointing considering price and how good some of the previous versions were. Passing game is very frustrating and much harder than it needs to be. I know its supposed to make you play more realistically, but come on. Also, the amount of fumbling in the game is comical. I was pretty excited about it when I got my ps3, but thats all gone after playing it.

Strengths: solid and improved gameplay

Weaknesses: 30fps only (when xbox360 gets 60fps)

Summary: Madden08 is a solid NFL video game. I've always enjoyed playing this, but this year there is not many new features. It is smoother than last year's, but it's only running 30fps, as opposed to xbox360's 60fps version. I think EA did a good job putting that effort into this year's version.

Summary: My first football game for the console. A good game to get if you are into football. I expect graphics to improve in the future. Good deal to get when the game is on sale.
