Rating: Time with product: Strengths: The edges on the cans are smooth and no metal shavings. Weaknesses: Price a bit higher than most can openers that I've purchased in the past. Summary: After owning a Hamilton Beach Can Opener for many years, I felt this was a good product and gave it as part of a bridal shower gift. This particular can opener has a sturdy yet sleek frame and the best part is, no more cut fingers, the the edges of the cans come out smooth to the touch. |

Rating: Time with product: 10 Days Strengths: Sturdy no tip design, easy of can placement and large handle for people with arthritis in their hands, smooth, clean cut not sharp edges and lid doesnot fall into food. Weaknesses: Does not stop when can is open. Summary: I had been fumbling with a can opener design that when you placed the can, especially a large can, such as peaches or pear on to be opened it would tip the opener over. I also suffer arthritis in my hands so Fumbbling with the angle of the can placement and the small level on my old one was a problem. I was attrached to this can opener for it's design and it has not dissappointed me. The ease of placeing the can and large easy grip handle are perfect and it is sturdy, not top heavy with a can on it. The clean side cut is great and even though you have to hold the handle in the lock position for it to remain on, I still like it because I was not able to walk away from the old one so it's no big deal to me. I do wish it would automatically stop once the can is open, but this is not really that big of an issue since you are right there with it anyway. I LOVE this opener and would recommed it especially for people with hand disabilities or the elderly. |

Rating: Time with product: 1 Week Strengths: Opens cans smoothly. Weaknesses: No automatic shut-off and is not hands-free as advertised. Summary: Am going to keep it even though the advertised information is wrong. That is why my rating is lower than it would have been. It opens cans well and I do not have to worry about jagged edges. |
