Rating: Time with product: 2 Months Strengths: Plethora of options Weaknesses: Cannot import analog video without separate converter of some sort Summary: Premiere CS3 offers many features and software utilities over what simple Elements offers and is easily worth the money if professional editing ability is necessary. Even Elements offers many features the amateur may never use and I have yet to find anything missing that I might want to use in CS3. CS3 is pricey, and for that money I would expect a way to import analog video directly instead of having to pass it through some sort of digital signal converter first. Even if the video world is moving to all digital signal processing, there is still a lot of analog sources out there that make it a pain to have to carry a converter around everywhere video might need to be imported. |
