I have one for my whole house, which is a little bit bigger than what it's rated to do but it seems to make a little bit of a difference. I have sinus allergies and they seem to clear up some when I use this. Although I would like to leave it on full speed all the time, it raises my electric bill too much and is too loud. I usually use it on med-low speed when I'm at home and turn it off when I leave and it's not so bad. I only use the ionizer about an hour when I first turn it on and then turn that off. I have only had it for about 3 months and the filter is about 1/5th used according to the indicator. I vaccum regularly, take off my shoes, and use an electrostatic filter in my a/c unit which all help to reduce dust, mold, and bacteria, also. I rated it based solely on what I thought of it whereas I have nothing to compare it to since this is my first air purifier. We didn't know there was a better model though and wish we would have bought it. It has a few more features that are nice.
