Wood Burning Fireplace Insert 2 25 cu. ft. This large wood burning insert heats approximately 1,000 to 2,000 sq. ft. It features a thermostatic, variable-speed blower system using two "Whisper Quiet" blowers to heat the room. The EPI-1402 is approved for use in both masonry and manufactured fireplaces, and meets EPA requirements for emissions. this unit has an option of a black or gold plated arched door with a large viewing area (sold separately).

epurdum	Rating: 10 Time with product: 2 Years Strengths: Lights quick, sticks out of the fireplace so you get radiant heat as well as the blowers. 2 blowers! Weaknesses: The top mantle needs to be remounted every season (takes 10 minutes so really not a weakness.. Summary: I did a ton of research as this was my first experience with a fireplace insert (versus a stand alone stove). I purchased this stove in November of 2007 (the price was about $1200 at the time). The install was very simple and was ready to use within an hour of the install. I have a 1450 sqft first floor (I only have one floor with vaulted ceilings) and I heat the whole floor with this single unit. I am very impressed with this unit as it is easy to light, the blowers are on a temp sensor, so they do not start until the fireplace gets to a certain temperature and the fan is adjustable from off to high and everywhere in between. I have used it for 2 winters and other then remounting the top mantle (the fans vibration eventually causes it to loosed), it was a fantastic purchase. I would highly recommend this product.
