Strengths: looks nice
Weaknesses: Bad quality; there is metal on the inside
Summary: This kettle was not what I expected. I am very disatisfied with it. It looks OK on the picture and the design itself is not bad. However, the plastic that it is made of is very cheap. It is also somewhat small on the inside. On the inside there is a metal rod that is used to heat the water. It does not look very safe. The price isn't bad. I would not recommend it.

Time with product: 2 Days
Strengths: Reasonable price, quick, convinient to use
Weaknesses: Power cord a little short, not very strong build
Summary: I searched the net for an electric kettle and found this one. Simple design and build but good enough for its purpose already. In cold winter days, do not have to go to kitchen every time wants some hot water/tea. I also used on instant noodle, oatmeal, so far so good. Did not try the auto shut-off feature, since it only takes 1-2 minutes ( for around 3 cups content ) so I just wait and unplug right after the water boils.

Strengths: An inexpensive way to boil water quickly
Weaknesses: Don't like detachable cord feature
Summary: This electric kettle boils water quickly and costs ~$12, so to be fair, it does what it's supposed to do. I'm a bit disappointed with its design though. Because of the detachable cord feature, you have to be very careful when cleaning to make sure that you don't get water into the electric connections. Additionally, the lid attachment point seems to be a bit flimsy and sometimes the lid is hard to align and push down to latch completely. Overall, I prefer my Rival Hot Pot Express that I had previously.

Strengths: Fast, cheap, portable
Weaknesses: alert is not especially audible
Summary: This little kettle is perfect for those wanting a quick cup of tea. It boils water around 5-6 min. It is much more portable than the electric kettle I was previously using. Just unplug the power cord and it's light enough to bring to another room. If you're not directly looking at the kettle, the only way to tell if it's done boiling is by the releasing of the on-off switch (at the back of the lid). If you're in the same room, it's usually easy to hear the tell-tale click, but from another room it can be difficult. It would be nice if the alert was a bit more audible. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a small, cheap ($11 on Amazon) electric kettle.

Time with product: 1 Years
Strengths: Boils water perfectly for tea-brewing
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I have used this electric kettle for almost a year. It's very nice way to boil up some water for brewing tea without out going to the kitchen and turning on the stove. The electric cord is separable from the body of the kettle, which is made of tough plastic. The kettle will hold up to 1 Liter of water. After the top is snapped closed, boiling starts once the switch on top of the handle is push up. The switch lights up and within 4-5 minutes the water will be bubbling and the switch will automatically snap off. Two caveats: 1. Make sure the top is actually closed before switching the kettle on or else the kettle will continue to boil. 2. There was a bit of plasticky aftertaste to the boiled water the first few times.
