Sony 8MB Memory Card (PS2)

Rating:
9.2
Save game progress, hidden characters, high scores, special weapons, hard levels, and custom controller settings--and take it all with you. The official Memory Card for the PlayStation 2 system stores up to 8MB of data and features MagicGate encryption. The PlayStation 2 delivers more data-intensive games, so this extra capacity is invaluable. This Memory Card moves data significantly faster than the original memory card, but can only be used with PlayStation 2 format software.

Rating: Time with product: 2 Months Strengths: Good memory card name brand no problems expected or recieved Weaknesses: none Summary: This is a name brand memory card that has worked fine as expected. Maybe not the cheapest but I bought it for the quality. Buy if quality is an issue with other cards. |

Rating: Time with product: 3 Weeks Strengths: Works like it should. Weaknesses: Some saves take a while to save Summary: WOuld not format at first, but that could have been my PS2. I haven't been able to see how many save games I can fit on it as I am only playing 2 games right now. Saves arent' slow, but they're not speedy either. |

Rating: Time with product: Strengths: It is for the greatest system around and supplies a good amount of information. This is a cheap price for it to! Weaknesses: Not for XBOX. I like PS2 better but it lags because XBOX has an 8 GIG HD! Meaning you wouldnt need this. Still awsome though! Summary: I suggest you buy it HARDCORE GAMERS like me! On here it is a great price and you will need it for all those saves. Also look into Pelican for an 8 MGBYTE Expander which expands it to 16 MGBYTES. Great deal! Get yours now!!! |

Rating: Time with product: 16 Months Strengths: 1st party memory card (made by the maker of the PS2), no bugs, good amount of card space (8 MB). Weaknesses: Some games have problems detecting the memory card thus leading to frustration. The price could be lower. Summary: Always go with 1st party accessories for game consoles. Companies like MadKatz are very unpopular and unreliable. My first memory card was a MadKatz and it broke about 2 weeks later because it could no longer be detected in my PS2. With the Sony PlayStation 2 8 MB memory card, there are minimal problems, if any. Buying 1st party controllers are a must too. The controllers looks stupid and break easily. STICK WITH SONY!!!! |

Rating: Time with product: 5 Months Strengths: Works well, I have had absolutely no performance problems with this card. Weaknesses: It's not the prettiest, but hey it works, and thats all that really matters. Summary: While other memory cards may hold more data, and still others come in fashionable colors, I say stick with the original. This card does its job, and does it well. I have had no problem saving or retrieving game or system files from this card. |
