There's not much power behind this, it's fine for a few pages of paper but you'd be pushing the poor thing if you tried to staple too many! It's not a true electric stapler, you still have to push down on it for it to discharge the staple. A true electric stapler merely requires you to insert your pages, but this is fine for a little extra convenience and someone that might have a problem using a manual stapler.
