The Xbox 360 HDMI Cable provides gamers with separate audio and video connections via the included Audio Adapter. The Audio Adapter allows HDMI video to be routed to the HDTV with the audio routed SEPERATLY to the home speaker system. Without the Audio Adapter the video and audio signals are both carried by the HDMI cable. This means users without an HDMI receiver (new/costly) must listen to their Xbox 360 game and movie audio via their TV speakers. * One wire for both digital audio and video * Experience high definition movies and games at up to 1080p resolution * Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound output * Optical/RCA Audio Adapter included for non-HDMI supported stereo systems * 2 meter (6.5 feet) shielded cable

Rating: Time with product: 1 Month Strengths: - Enables superb, HD picture quality and crystal clear multi-channel decoding audio.- Includes AV adaptor for users without an HDMI-capable receiver. Weaknesses: - Nothing unique or special about the HDMI cable.-High price tag for those who do not need the AV Adaptor. Summary: I became interested in this product after I purchased a new HDMI-capable receiver for my home theater. Based on the assumption that Microsoft had most likely built some kind of proprietary barrier into the XBOX 360 that would prevent use of standar HDMI cables, I quickly decided to purchase the XBOX 360 HDMI Cable. When I began reconnecting my system using HDMI cables, I quickly realized there was nothing special about the XBOX 360 HDMI cable and that I could saved myself $20 by using a less expensive cable. Regardless, the picture quality is great and if you do not have a HDMI-capable receiver, you'll need the AV adaptor to push the XBOX sound through your home theater system. Bottom line ... depending on your home theater setup, this may or may not be the right product for you. |

Rating: Time with product: 3 Days Strengths: Fantastic video resolution, better than s-video or composite a/v. The audio is definately better when plugging into a surround sound system. Long cable, six foot. Weaknesses: A little pricey, but definately worth the pricetag. Summary: I bought this cable because I have a Sony 50" LCD Projection TV, and it's HDMI port is recommended over s-video and composite for the best picture. I am totally satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants the best video and audio output from their Xbox 360 with HDMI port. |
