Time with product: 6 Months

Strengths: Real time, update daily

Summary: I have used McAfee for years. This is a great product with all its features. For me, the most impress feature is a real time proteccion when you surf on Internet. It eliminates and blocks pop-ups and spywares in the moment you try to open the website. In addtion, its firewall is good; but it is not excellent. I have to setup manualy and its confuse how to do it, I needed to read the manual in order to run Limewire.

Strengths: Can't think of any. The product is a bloat ware, it installs so many things on your computer and makes your computer run so slow that you don't even need a virus as another user observed here. This itself is worse than a virus. Note I run this on a Vist

Weaknesses: Now, where do I start? --Rebate Ripoff!

Summary: Be smart! Don't make the mistake that I did even after reading the reviews here. The McAfee seems to ripoff people in many ways. Another user has observed here in newegg that McAfee automatically renew and charge our credit card/bank account without notifications at the end of the year and we need to remember to call and cancel. For me this will not be an issue, since I am planning to uninstall and cancel this subscription right now. Unfortunately I can not return since I mailed the UPC on rebate already. But this product is not worth even free!

Strengths: Inexpensive

Weaknesses: slows your computer down

Summary: It is easy to install, and compatible with both Vista and XP. It does works on protecting your computer. I bought it totally free after the mail-in rebate. What should we expect from the freeware? So far it has not disapointed me yet, and I was able to get good protection without paying anything.

Strengths: Works in Vista, antivirus, firewall, anti-malware, etc.

Weaknesses: Not the best GUI, will be a drag on slower systems

Summary: I find the GUI to be less appalling than Symantec products, but that does not affect the performance of the product and is just personal preference. Like most security suites, Mcafee provides antivirus, firewall and malware protection. No suite is going to be 100% percent perfect at protection, but I have not had any problems with viruses or malware slipping through while using this software. One plus is the system scans are relatively quick. In most cases the software can be purchased at next to nothing, so for the price it is a very good bargain. If you have a firewall solution on your Internet hardware and this security suite on your computer, there shouldn't be any problems from outside attacks.

Summary: I have highly confident with McAfee software. In my work place,have install McAfee virus software for more than 2 years. Do not have any problem to my PC and we have a lots document file attach to it and send out and receive in E-mail every day. Update the Internet Security Suite - 3 Userto my PC. Especially,it has the new interface and test message shown the level protection in your PC. that is the remind signal to let you aware of the viruses.
