bit-tech Review

"Quake Wars: Enemy Territory is the new, stunning looking multiplayer game from id Software and Splash Damage. With a heavy focus on team games and some fantastic new megatexture technology, Quake Wars is great to look at even if there are some issues with samey objectives and repetitive missions. The game still plays great for the most part though and, with plenty of servers up already and the backing of some tournaments, Quake Wars looks set to be the new benchmark for multiplayer team gaming. Strengths: Cool missions; many player types and very large level maps

Weaknesses: A little of the same; Nothing drastically different from the original ET.No single-player mods like BF2142. No voice comm.

Summary: Excellent game if you like multiplayer action. The bots have good AI.The games needs teamwork, strategy and a good machine to play with to enjoy the graphics.

Time with product: 6

Strengths: - Excellent asymmetric teams- Huge, detailed levels- Relatively smart AI bots- Online player statistics

Weaknesses: - Doesn't follow the Quake storyline

Summary: There isn't much a single player in the game as its basically just playing with bots. Good idea if you're new to team-based multiplayer. The online play on the otherhand is awesome. With the five different classes, I can usually find a position that suits my fancy. This game requires a good deal of teamwork for things to go smoothly (ie Quarry). With a well-coordinated team, the enemy might not stand a chance :)

Strengths: Updated graphics, more complicated missions, lot's of new vehicles and weapons, bots are build-in :)

Weaknesses: I still like TF2 more :)

Summary: It's another evolution of enemy territory. I have been playing previous version for quite some time and this one looks like bigger and better. However I'm spending more time in TF2 now.
