Weaknesses: Not really "lite" at all. Tank Cap Removal Latches. Hard to find cleaning solution in stores.

Summary: Carpet cleaners are one of those things you don't really think about wanting until the day the cat hacks up a present. Then you grumble about wishing you had one. Now. * There's nothing really magical about them, but they do offer peace of mind that you can take it out for a spin whenever the need arises to tackle any accidents and general carpet refreshing. * Fill the water tank with hot tap water and cleaning solution. Plug it in and you're ready to go. Push forward while you spray down, then slowly pull back to suck up the dirty water. Repeat. It works. * Cleaning the carpet cleaner is the nasty part, but the components disassemble for quick rinsing. I hope the latches on the tank caps are durable though. It's just a tiny sliver of plastic on either side that snaps onto the main tanks and it requires some force to pop out. * What caught my attention about the Hoover F6207-900 was the affordable price and claim about being lightweight. The first part is agreeable, but I'm not so sure about it being "lite". It's at least 20lbs before the one gallon tank is filled with water. Not exactly a feather, but at least I can stretch the attachment hose alternately from the top and bottom of the stairs. Wishful thinking that I could actually hold up the SteamVac to use the brushes on each step. Might have to look into a future model that has the spin brushes on the attachment too. This does not.

Strengths: Light weight, relatively inexpensive

Weaknesses: doesn't remove water as well as expensive ones

Summary: well contructed, the handler can be folder. The water tanks are easier to change and fill. Since it's relatively light weight, I feel the carpet is a little wetter than if I rent the commercial one. But for its size and price, I think it does a good job of cleaning the carpet.

Strengths: Size, weight, convenience, power.

Weaknesses: A little weak on removing moisture.

Summary: I really like the way this unit handles. The fold-down feature makes it easy to store out of the way. It't light and maneuverable making it easy to get into tight places. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't remove the moisture from the carpet as well as it should causing the dry-out time to be longer than desirable. But, for the money, I'd still recommend it.

Strengths: It does the job

Weaknesses: Nozzle cover is a bit flimsy

Summary: It looks identical to the well-reviewed Steamvac Agility but it's actually Agility's downgraded model. Steamvac Lite doesn't have "Clean Surge" function that Agility has. Every other function seems identical or similar. It has 5 spinning brushes and heated cleaning system. Suction is quite powerful. Water tank is easy to fill up and clean. Lightweight is a bonus. My only complain is its flimsy clear nozzle cover. I had to return it because the cover was cracked right out of the box. I have cleaned my wall-to-wall carpetted living room a couple of times and am quite impressed.
