Summary: This Dyson DC18 is a powerful, slim vacuum cleaner with all the power to clean the house. It's quite lightweight to handle and cleans beautifully. We used it on already vacuumed floor and to our amazement it brought out so much dirt that we couldn't believe. Even my wife finds it easy to handle and does the vaccum now as she never did with the old vaccum cleaner which was pretty heavy and did not have a powerful suction like this one have. So I highly recommend this product.

Strengths: Lightweight, quiet, and easy to steer.

Weaknesses: cord 3 feet too short.

Summary: This vacuum is the best I have seen for quietness, lightness, and maneuverability. The dustbin is very easy to empty. The wrist steering is easy to learn. Because of the ball suspension, you don't have to mave your elbow way to the right and left to steer. It is easily half as loud as the Hoover windtunnel, and even quieter than that if the floorbursh is turned off for smooth floors. I don't know how I suffered through other vacuums. It could use a floor attachment for the wand. I used one from the Hoover, and the suction was enough to stick it to the floor. This compresses the hose and almost tipps over the unit due to sudden hose shrinkage.
