Summary: Worked great for first 33 days BUT the heating plate stopped working shortly after. Currently going through the warranty process which includes calling, shipping, waiting.

Weaknesses: Carafe doesn't fit well onto the hotplate.

Summary: Great taste, very easy to use. With the number of options available, you are sure to get the right cup of coffee. There are 2 minor complaints - some ground coffee stays in the chute after each use, and carafe design is conducive to spilling. Aside from these two, this is a nice coffee maker and I recommend it.

Summary: This unit has it all,Could not be more pleased with it's use so far. If you are looking for "foo foo" coffee maker Don't get this one. But for the serious "REAL" coffee drinker this one has it all, plus it's fun to brew.Just put in your water {has replaceable filter that lets you know when to change it out}, beans and filter call up the memory and you're good to go for that first cup. Have tried other higher priced type that had a " Plastic " smell and even taste to them, the KM7000 Does NOT! One extra bonus is the aroma brew which does great when less than a full pot is called for. I love to have just the extra options on the brew time, coffee strength,and conical grinding. Comes with all the standard features including one other really neat automatic step it goes thru prior to brewing, But you just need to get this unit to find out for yourself.

Weaknesses: Messier than Capresso unit.They count a "cup" as 5 ounces.

Summary: This is head and shoulders above the Cuisinart unit. Don't even look twice at that one. This Krups unit is very similar to the Capresso unit (which I prefer). It has all the timer features, strength and grind settings so you can make the amount of coffee you want at the strength you want. The grind gets more dust on the counter than the Capresso, but is quieter in operation. I wish the grinder held more coffee beans so you didn't have to fill it as often. And since when is a cup of coffee 5 ounces? Six ounces, maybe.
