Nintendo created the GameCube with the purpose of realizing the highest level of performance and of enhancing the productivity of software development. This is Nintendo's vision of what a next-generation game machine should do. Instead of going for the highest possible performance, which does not contribute to software development, Nintendo's idea was to create a developer-friendly next generation TV game machine that maintained above-standard capabilities.

Rating: Time with product: 4 Years Strengths: +Good Graphics in comparison to PS2+Innovative Titles (Resident Evil 4, Animal Crossing, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat)+Decent Controller Layout+GBA Player and Linkability Weaknesses: -Smaller Library than PS2-No Online-No DVD Player (Not Really a Let Down) Summary: Although it may not have the online play or DVD compatibility, the Nintendo Gamecube is still the overall the best system on the market. It doesn't rely on violence or immorality as selling points (unlike Microsoft and Sony with the Halo and GTA franchises), but rather relies on good, old fashioned innovation. |

Rating: Time with product: 2 Years Strengths: Great Games. Weaknesses: Not too many games and too many kid games. Summary: A great system for kids. It has great classics like Starfox, Mario, Metroid, and more. Not made for older teen and adult games is what sets this system back. And there aren't many RPG's either. Overall an great system for kids and not so great for older teens and adults. |

Rating: Time with product: Strengths: Poratble, Family freindly Weaknesses: crappy games, too small disk space Summary: I don't understand how people can say that the xbox is a pc on it's side. Sure, it has a hard drive, but that saves money (you don't have to buy memory cards, which will drain your cash.) Gamecube might have zelda and mario, but metroid prime, well, the controller sucks for ffp's. Xbox has Halo, best version of splinter cell, The Amped series, Dead or Alive, Projetc Gotham, Nba street vol. 2, Crimson Skies, Counter strike, KOTOR, Max payne, GTA, and mammoth titles coming out like Halo 2, Fable, Ninja Gaiden, Starcraft ghost, sudeki, breakdown, Doom 3, Half Life 2, dead or alive online, advent rising, Phantom dust, steel battalion 2,and magatama, plus the best online play on all three consoles. Ok back to gamecube. It depends on what age you are. If you are 21 and want all those shooters and blood and guts, go buy an xbox. If you are 5 and want to watch a monkey rolling in a ball across the screen, then buy this. That put's it best. |

Rating: Time with product: 3 Months Strengths: portable, good graphics, & value that you can't beat Weaknesses: lack of games for the older gamers Summary: lot of people say that PS2 & XBOX is better than GAMECUBE but it's all up to what type of games and how old you are. before i get started, i own all three consoles... and this is how i feel about it... PS2 led the way to these new generation game consoles by over a year on the other two consoles... so people complain about the number of games out for XBOX & GAMECUBE, give it some time. and Nintendo is not aiming the gamers in highschool, college & up as their buyers. which is a very smart move on the Nintendo's part because PS2 & XBOX is going head to head in that category. the younger generation that loves gameboy advance & pokemon... that's who Nintendo's going for. that's an open market, and that's where they are making the money. GAMECUBE Games has bouns stuff that you can access by using the GAMEBOY ADVANCE... hmm what's the average age of the kids that owns GAMEBOY ADVANCE? majority is highschool and below... and the games that they release is not all that bad... StarWars fans got Rebel Strike to play... like sports? play EA games... and you can buy GAMECUBE and the Game for the price of the XBOX... see, it's all up to how you look at it... you like violent games? go for XBOX... like racing? try GranTurismo on PS2... and if you can be open minded, try out some GAMECUBE games like mario kart, rebel strike, or EA's tiger wood's golf 2004? |

Rating: Time with product: 5 Months Strengths: small/durable/doesint crash like x-box/and just the best. Weaknesses: game size. i like it but it is to easy to lose. Summary: over all it is the best system out. X-box is over all THE WORST. IF YOU BUY A X-BOX I RECOMEND THAT YOU GO THROW IT OFF A TOWER huff...huff... ok. Game cube has a great controller and has very good games. Yes ther are kidy games but thats not what you should be rating the game cube on. You have to look at the games that are not kidy (Kickstand571, from CA) cough.. dork cough.. Take PSO or maybe baulders gate for example i loved thos games and recomend them strongly. ( PSO is better for multiplayer, you might need modem). So overall nintindo has proved itself once more. (i didnt like N64 tho) BUT GAMECUBE ROKCS |
