Strengths: Interesting storyline & graphics. Better than all other music-rhythm games.

Weaknesses: A little too weird/over-the-top for some people.

Summary: Ever played a DDR game? Well this is like that, but with a couple distinctions. The first major distinction is the presence of a storyline. Granted, the storyline is quite bizarre, but it is definitely entertaining. The other major distinction is that you don't need a dance pad or a lot of space. Just a PS2 controller and a little time.Gitaroo Man pits you up against various, hillariously dressed, evils of the universe. As you attempt to follow the onscreen prompts of buttons and directions, you eventually defeat evil with your guitar. As the levels get harder, the directions begin to become "waves," and you must use the analog stick to follow the wave.In DDR games, when you miss-step or screw up, the music continues to play normally, and the only audio indication of a mess up is a "boo." In Gitaroo Man, a screw up actually alters the effects of the music immediately. It makes playing more interesting.If you've ever played a DDR game and enjoyed it, you should definitely give this one a try. You won't get the exercise you would from "dancing," but the entertainment is definitely much better.

Summary: Gitaroo Man is extremely rare & hard to find game, it was once fetched over $150 on ebay & other auction sites.. finding a used copy at your local gaming store can be quite a task at hand! After hearding so many raved on how good this game is, I decided to bite the dust and hunt myself a copy. after many months of searching I scored myself a copy! Just becasue this game is rare, does it make it a a good game. let find out.This hgame is a music type game, kinda like space channel 5, & the other unique titled REZ (also hard to find.)you use your dual shock controller kinda like a guitar. where to press button to match the beat, by gettin matching the button in the rite time. your score goes up. if you timing is rite & your score is high enough, you moce on to the next level. Beside from the addicting gameply & decent music score which flow more to the japanese market. still this game is mediure titled IMO.

Strengths: A Challange! Colorful Graphics, and a odd ball plot.

Weaknesses: Well, it was quite hard to find for a bit, but you shouldn't have that problem now! Also, those without rythum will have a hard time.

Summary: I had been wanting to find this game for a long time. It was supposed to be quite fun, and when I heard it was an earlier game from the makers of Oueandan, I had to find it. However, it was very rare. But thanks to the magic of a new pressing I could play it. This game is the story of a boy who uses a guitar given to him be his dog to turn into a superhero and fight evil with music. Right. Well, anyway, its a music game. A very popular genre, if you like rhythm games, you will like this. You have to press buttons in time with the music and twist your dual shock pads around. Do a good job, and you can move on after defeating the villain. Mess up and you will have to try again!

Summary: If you like music type games, this one is for you. Guitaroo Man has 10 levels in figure you battle various characters using your music making skills. The game is hard at first, but after several attempts you get the idea of how to play. To play, all you need if a standard PS2 controller, nothing special like other music/rythem games. The game is extremely hard on the hardest setting and I have yet to beat it on the hardest setting. There is a lot of replay value in this game and it also has two-player mode where you could challenge your friends. Overall, this is a fantastic game for any music/rythem-game fan.

Summary: I like music games, and really liked this one. Yeah, it's hard but it's very good. The music is amazing, the graphics are anime like and alright. Go out and buy this game.
