Strengths: Large tub. Simple to use.

Weaknesses: Seal at door stays wet. Detergent tray retains water after wash.

Summary: Went from a Fisher & Paykel top load washer to a stacked LG Washer/Dryer. The Fisher & Paykel was fine, but we wanted to handle larger blankets. We had eyed the Maytag Neptunes years back but got scared off from the stories of mold in the Neptunes.Based on recommendations from friend with LG washer/dryers, we bypassed the Samsungs and Whirlpool front-load washers.The LG washer works fine and we enjoy it. Some minor complaints. The door and seal are wet after the wash, so we leave the door open after we're done with the loads of washing. Some fine wet-lint that doesn't get drained out during rinse cycle stays on the seal by the door. No problem, just an extra step to wipe those off the seal. The other oddity (maybe normal for front-load washers) is that the laundry detergent tray has quite a bit of water in the tray after the wash cycle. I guess that'd be seomthing I'd want to take out, pour out and hand-dry if we were to go on an extended vacation. Don't want water laying around for long periods of time for fear of mold.Still, the washer is quite good and it's a keeper.

Strengths: Very quiet, direct drive motor, gentle on clothes

Weaknesses: Can't change the door open in other direction.

Summary: This is my first front load washer. It's very quiet when comparing to my old top load washer. I really like their interior light. If you manually turn your drum fast enough ( not really that fast ), you can power on the washer. So far, I don't have any mold problems, just leave the washer door open to dry out. I have used the steam fresh cycle, but it didn't get out all the wrinkles. I know this washer is expensive, the features and energy saving make it worth on the investment.

Strengths: I think I haven't found one yet but hope to one day.

Weaknesses: Okay, just purchased this beautiful machine but can not get it to work more then one load. I live in a brand new home and this machine appears to be having electrical problems.

Summary: I hope things get better or I will have to return them. I have also been reading a lot of bad reviews for this machine. I was wondering...where were these reviews before I purchased the machine. Oh, well...the repair should be at my house tomorrow by 5:00pm. Will report back.
