Summary: Bought this PC-Cillin free,i began my first experience with PC-Cillin.Surprisingly, it works very well on my computer, easy installation, upgrading, and mostly importantly it runs faster at execution time than Norton programe which i have been long time using. Th timeliness of pattern file updates PC-cillin is fast (bootup and scanning), solid (no weird quirks or crashes) and highly configurable. I like it and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for certain programs.

Strengths: Excellent price and great packaging of internet security devices

Summary: This product is very easy to install, setup, and update. If you have worked with antivirus software, setup will be a breeze. The only issue I ran into with the product is the rebate. The rebate form asked for a tag from the box, but the product was not shipped in a box but rather a folder. Customer services was not very helpful either. I felt cheated on receiving the $25.00 rebate; buyer beware.

Weaknesses: Although PC-Cillin found the trojan horse on my computer, it could not remove it. I had to contact customer support and manually remove it.

Summary: I am happy with this software. It was easy to install and it scanned very thoroughly. I was surprised to learn that although it found a trojan horse on my computer, it could not remove it. I did work with 3 different PC-Cillinsupport representatives, and they were all extremely helpful in getting the trojan horse removed.

Summary: This is my second purchase of PC-Cillin Internet Security replacing Norton in both instances. Norton allowed two viruses (worms) through that I had to remove with a two year old trial version of PC-Cillin. After initial setup, PC-Cillin runs quietly in the background and is not heard from unless there's a virus found. Updates several times daily, so if there's a new threat, you'll receive the new definitions almost as soon as they are made available. The firewall works great and the spyware scan keeps things humming right along. I had forgotten how fast my PC really was!
