Strengths: Three different factions with different cool abilities . Global domination part of game fairly unique .

Weaknesses: Viewing angle too close . Tracking map too small .

Summary: I enjoy RTS games and wanted something just a little bit different from the norm (more Sci-Fi related). UAW looked just to be the ticket , with its three different factions with unique abilities and the (somewhat) unique global domination scenario . Love some of the cool alien contraptions in the game and the ability for full GLOBAL domination ! Graphics are nice (but nothing super special) . The only major down fall is the lack of viewing from a good distance and the tracking map for all your units is way too small imo . Besides those two cons , the game is still worth while and fun . Definitly worth the price of addmission if you can find the game onsale (at Gogamer)or at a local bargin bin . For the price I paid at Gogamer onsale , Iam happy with my UAW purchase . I give the game a good 3 1/2+ stars

Strengths: Fun sci-fi game...

Weaknesses: Not a whole lot new

Summary: If you like Sci-Fi, enjoy RTS games, and can get this on sale, then do it. But don't pay the regular price. As with many now in this type, it has three races/sides to play with. Some interesting weapons to use... this may tied some over until the new StarCraft comes out, but don't expect the same quality game. I got mine on clearance, so not too bad.

Weaknesses: Nothing new.

Summary: Universe at War: Earth Assault is a RTS game that pits three different alien races against each other. Each race has its strengths and weaknesses. The graphics are nice to look at, but there is not anything spectacular about this game. It does not progress the RTS genre at all. Nothing new is introduced. If you can find it really, really cheap, it might be worth your while. Otherwise, there are several other RTS games out there deserving for your time and money.

Strengths: Interesting races with gameplay very balanced between the three different sides.

Weaknesses: Generic strategy game with no real innovations. Steep learning curve with limited instructions. Some unit abilities are hidden and must be discovered by the player.

Summary: Universe at War focuses on three different alien races battling it out on Earth. Unfortunately, the generic plot does little to add to the generic gameplay seen in most strategy games. The three different races in the game are balanced each with different strengths and weaknesses but the essentials are the same despite which side you choose - gather resources, build your base, climb the tech tree until you can build enough strong units to attack the clumsy AI. The only interesting part of the game is when the player stumbles upon unit abilities that are not mentioned in the instructions. Or, they can always be looked up online.

Strengths: Generic RTS

Weaknesses: Generic RTS. Have to pay for multiplayer.

Summary: I picked up Universe at war on clearance for ten dolalrs. Luckily I also had an xbox live gold account with my 360. But the game creates a bad precedent because you basically need a gold account to play multiplayer. It's not a bad game, but it's not a great game either. I would probably give it 3 stars because I paid $10 for it. But I dropped it another star because of the multiplayer suprise. I recommend skipping it.
