There's only one way to the top ranks of the underground world of paid assassins and it's going to get messy.Lucky for Travis Touchdown, he just knocked off the world?s eleventh best without breaking a sweat. The life of fame and fortune couldn?t be closer. Heads will roll and names will be taken, but everything is not what it seems. It all started after Travis was assigned to take on the drifter known as Helter Skelter, the United Assassin Association?s 11th ranked assassin. After a grueling battle, Travis emerged the winner, collected the spoils of battle and claimed his title as the new 11th ranked assassin. However, the situation turns out to be more complicated than Travis first thought. It is after the mysterious beauty, Sylvia Christel, appears that the real adventure begins.
bit-tech Review
"No More Heroes isn’t a perfect game at all and it has some very identifiable problems which occasionally put players off. Given that the appeal of the game lies in blind-siding the player with off-beat humour and wit, it also may not be suitable to everyone and once you’ve got to grips with it then you may find it a tad tiresome if you’ve not got the same sense of humour as the writers.
No More Heroes is an excellent example of how an eccentric character design and storyline can compensate for some technical failings though and the combination of bizarre characters and striking presentation really do make the mini-games and such a minor concern at best. If you’ve been looking for a more adult game to play on your Wii then No More Heroes should come highly recommended." - 22nd March 2008

Time with product:
Strengths: Interesting story and characters, great gameplay.
Weaknesses: The overworld graphics.
Summary: No More Heroes is a very entertaining title for the Wii with a great cast of characters and story. The use of the Wii motion controls works well in battles and brings a lot of originality to the game. The overworld between missions is a little plain and boring but once you are in the battles, you forgot about those little annoyances. This is an M rated game and the content does really justify that rating. Still there is a lot of variety in the world of No More Heroes and a lot of stuff to collect and fun things to do.

Strengths: Great style, unlike anything else on the Wii, good gameplay
Weaknesses: Maybe a bit too much flash at times, sometimes it's a bit inconsistent
Summary: No More Heroes is a game that definitely pushes what you'd expect to find on the Wii. It brings a GTA-style open world to the system, although with a twist. It brings a lot of style, a bit of humor, and lots of stylized blood to the Wii. (definitely note the game's M rating). It's a very different experience and one of the best third party uses of the Wii system (remote, pushing the hardware, etc) so far. So definitely points for that. There is a lot of style in the game with the cel shaded graphics and the overall feel of the game. Sometimes it almost all feels too slick-- like the developers had an overall vision, mostly worked it to fruition, but glossed over some minor details when they couldn't work them out (some of the game gets repetitive, and some of it is just plain weird). If you're into the GTA games, or just want to swordfight with your Wii remote, or the like-- it's a great game to try out. It's not going to be for everyone, but if you enjoy this sort of game, it's a great experience on the Wii.

Strengths: Good use of the wiimote. Great dialog and characters. Fun combat.
Weaknesses: A little short. The game world is mediocre.
Summary: No More Heroes has great character, whit, and style that borders on the just plain loopy. The cobat is fast and furious with the wiimote. It's a truly great action game. On teh downside, the game world to get from point a to b to advance the story is mediocure at best and terrible at worst. But as a solid action game, it's a must own for the Wii.

Time with product:
Strengths: good gameplay, good story, nice art style
Weaknesses: a little repetitive
Summary: No More Heroes follows around a guy who is fighting assassins to 'win' over a lady. The game is a fun smash'em up type game. The character design, main hub area, and art style are all excellent. The game gets a little old after awhile but is still fun throughout.

Time with product: 5 Months
Strengths: Visceral action, great personality
Weaknesses: Overworld
Summary: No More Heroes is the best action game on the Wii. Motion controls are implemented perfectly, the story is crazy but just zany enough to keep you interested - you'll find it difficult to stop playing.A few niggling issues aside (boring side jobs that aren't necessary to do more than once, bland overworld, rough bike controls), NMH is a great choice for anyone looking for something to splash stylized blood on their screen.
