Just one look at the desktop in Mac OS X Leopard says you've arrived someplace new. From the menu bar to the stunning Dock, Leopard is designed to help you enjoy the time you spend at your computer - and help you get more out of it. The desktop has a semitransparent menu bar and a reflective 3D Dock that perfectly frame your desktop picture - whether you use one of the beautiful included images or customize it with a favorite from your iPhoto library. Mac OS X Leopard Desktop Dock Screenshot The Dock has a bright active-application signal, and the look of Leopard extends to all applications. Every window has a consistent design theme, and active applications are even more distinct, casting deeper shadows.

Rating: Time with product: 7 Days Strengths: The strengths are numerous: easy install, visually easy to navigate, and the time machine feature is a nice addition to the OS. The price is lower now and so its a great time to buy. Weaknesses: Can't think of any! Summary: I waited (about a year) to buy to see if the price for the family pack would go down (and it did) and to see if my work would purchase the new OS for me (they didn't). I liked the family pack because it allowed me to install the OS on all my home and work computers. If you are waiting (as I did), this is a good time to buy. I doubt my current computers will be compatible with the next OS MAC brings out, so I also decided this small investment now might help to add to the longevity of my computer (now three years old). If you plan to buy a new computer in a year, I wouldn't bother with the purchase. |
