Summary: I have been using this monitor for about 4 months now and am very please with the performance so far. I use it in a dual monitor setting with my laptop and it works well. Height adjustment on the monitor would be great.

Strengths: Good price, 2ms, 8000:1 contrast

Weaknesses: lack of video output(I could not connect dvd player to LCD monitor.)

Summary: I have used 2253lw since March 2008. Generally, I am satisfied with 2253lw. 21.6 inches wide-screen is pretty huge because I have been using 15 inches LCD before I buy this one. 8000:1 contrast is very good, but 100% brightness setting was too bright. As a result, I always set up under 40% of brightness. I played rfactor and Microsoft flight simulator. It is working fine. When I was looking reviews and specs on LCD before I buy one, I considered 22 inches, 2ms and good price. Even though 2253lw is 21.6 inches, it was the cheapest Samsung LCD with 2ms, 22ish sizes. Samsung has a lot of bundle programs for example MagicTune premium. With the program, I can customize the setting of calibration, gamma, special effect, color tone, and color control. I went to apple store someday, and there are 23 inches HD wide-screen lcd monitor. Comparing to 21.6 inches wide-screen, apple lcd monior quite huge. June 22, 2008

Strengths: Great response time, solid blacks and vivid color. Sleek look with the black glossy stand and frame. A quality product.

Weaknesses: None as of yet.

Summary: This 1680 x 1050 monitor shines. I have owned several different brands of monitors, but the Samsung is the best. The wide 16:10 ratio screen is filled with vivid colors and real blacks. Picture quality is excellent and text is also easy to read. It has a very good response time and wide horizontal viewing angle. Great monitor for a great price. A quality product. This monitor will provide you with many hours of enjoyable viewing.
