Strengths: Light, sleek, common coffee filter.
Weaknesses: Brews loudly
Summary: The AM/PM light is already not working and will not light up. This after 1 use. Still functional but annoying. Otherwise, seems to be working well except for loud brewing which will wake you up in the morning.

Strengths: NO DRIPS, Price, Size, Programmable, NO Stainless, 12 cup, simple operation
Weaknesses: None, zip, zero
Summary: Let me start by saying we are big-time coffee drinkers. I have owned many high-end makers with built-in grinders (real pain to clean) and all the other wizz-bang features. This coffeemaker beats them all. It was rated no 1 by a leading consumer magazine. It is compact, easy to fill with both coffee and water, fill level viewable from both sides, there is no stainless so it's easy to keep clean, easy to program, and the pot is truly dripless. No more coffee spots all over the kitchen! And the price can't be beat. If you're looking for a great basic programmable coffeemaker, look no further. I was concerned after reading a number of reviews that spoke of overflowing coffee and grinds, but either this maker was redesigned or those reviewers are inept. It has a ridge that keeps the carafe properly aligned. I TRIED, and could not get this to overflow without dramatically misplacing the carafe on the plate. You would almost need to go out of your way to get this coffeemaker to overflow. Ignore those reviewers - Darwin will take care of them! When mine dies an a few years, as they all do, I'll buy another - it does exactly what it's supposed to do without any frustrations - at this price it's disposable. Did I mention NO Drips?

Strengths: None, the filter does not work, caused water to overflow because water will not drain thru coffee grinds fast enough. The water and grinds both spill out onto the counter. Now the pot has shorted out
Weaknesses: The filter does not drain into the pot fast enough the water and the grinds spill over causing the pot to short out. We have spent our money and do not have a coffee pot that we can use.
Summary: This pot is useless, I will not buy another Blacker & Decker coffee maker, because I probably can't get my money back, and I have no workable coffee pot.
