Strengths: Storyline, Challenging but not too difficult

Weaknesses: Textures and environments seemed washed out, lack of checkpoints

Summary: I did not play Rainbow Six Vegas previously so this was my first exposure to the RSV franchise. R6V2 is a tactical shooter - opposed to a shooting shooter like COD4. I found the storyline to be very compelling and it drew me into the game. The gameplay is decent and it is challenging while not being so difficult that you get frustrated. On the flip side, the textures and environments seemed washed out. The details just were not there and the game had a cold feel to it in some parts. There were a few well designed areas but overall I was not impressed. The worst thing about the game was the lack of checkpoints. Overall, it is a good game but there are certainly better first person shooters to experience.

Strengths: Controls, gameplay, visuals

Weaknesses: None

Summary: Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a noticeable improvement over the first game. The choppy graphics and controls have been fixed in this sequel. Controls are much smoother now. The gameplay is great but doesn't stand out greatly among other Rainbow 6 games. The limited edition features a bonus disc of video content, a poker chip key ring and a special cover artwork for the game. The game itself is identical. So pick up the regular game unless you can get the LE cheap.

Strengths: Visuals are appealing

Weaknesses: The audio issues can become very annoying

Summary: Overall, this limited edition game is adding more fun than the origional game. The visual affects are great and the PS3 controllor is perfectly fit with this game. The only problem is the s hotting sound is very high pitch and sometime is can be very annoying!!

Time with product:

Strengths: Good gameplay, short but good story line.

Weaknesses: price, graphic's quality

Summary: Comparing this to the first Rainbow Six-Vegas I would have to say it's quite an improvement. While the storyline to the first was o.k. the graphics were quite choppy and team member control was sometimes confusing. They have seemed to clean these defaults up this time around. Overall I would recommend this game if any of the past Rainbow Six's have interested you.

Strengths: easy controls, decent gameplay, character customization,

Weaknesses: graphics need work, short gameplay, expecting more from all the hype, sounds are just ok, overpriced,

Summary: everytime i play a first person shooter game i want to compare it to COD4. I think COD4 has set the new standard for first person shooter games. In any case, i was expecting more from this game because first of all its on the PS3 and second from all the hype i kept hearing about it. I found this game to be more of the same as far the first rainbow vegas that came out. The graphics are not as i thought they would be and almost looked the same as the first game although i expected a lot better since its on PS3 as i said before and i figured if they are coming out with a limited edition of it, it must be good. I was wrong, it was good but not as good as i thought it would be. If maybe i hadn't played COD4 before playing this my reaction and opinion of it would have been better but this doesn't compare in any way. There are more options as far as weapons but that's about it. The sounds in the game are good, somewhat realistic but again no comparison to COD4. The on line gaming is cool because you can join in at anytime versus having to wait till the end of a round to join as previously done. The gameplay is very similar to the first Rainbow six vegas. The limited edition is no big deal and i would recommend only buying the regular version if you are going to buy it which is like $30 or $40 cheaper the only difference being a poker chip keychain, the box and some boring gamer interviews.
