bit-tech Review
"Warhammer Online takes place in the same universe as the eponymous Warhammer table top game, played for decades by people with a passion for multi sided dice and painting expensive little plastic figures." - 5th October 2008

Rating: Time with product: 7 Days Strengths: Customizable UI,Easy questing, Lots of abilities for each class, Fast flights inbetween areas, Many classes to choose from, Fun RvR/PvP Weaknesses: Sometimes long queue times for scenarios, Macros seem to be pretty useless so far, requires a pretty good computer to run smoothly during large RvR encounters Summary: Warhammer Online is a great alternative for people who tired of WoW's lackluster and unbalanced PvP. All PvE content in Warhammer contributes to the ongoing RvR campaign. RvR objectives, keeps, and cities of the opposing faction may be taken over in order to obtain loot and renown. You even get experience from RvR which allows you to level up entirely from PvP if you choose to do so. There are 20 classes to choose from but so far they seem to be well balanced. This is a great MMO for those who desire better PvP action! |

Rating: Time with product: 10 Days Strengths: Realm versus Realm (RVR), Public Quests (PQ), Tome of knowledge Weaknesses: Clunky controls Summary: I have played WAR since open beta and also had a two day head start. My experience so far is anything but underwhelming. My favourite features would be Tome of Knowledge and Public Quests. Tome of Knowledge is basically a book that records all your in game stuff such as titles, quests, monster kills, enemy kills, etc. It also have lores and story about the world in WAR. Public quests is like mini raid where it is easy for everyone to join in. My biggest complain so far is the clunky controls. Paired with the mistimed animation, it can be very frustrating. This might be unfair comparison but WOW battle animation feels more smooth and not confusing. Anyway, I want WAR to succeed and I believe this problem can be sorted out as the game matures. I would definitely recommend this game. It offers many more revolutionary features than I can write here. More information can be found online. |
